Azura benefits from this with everything from an informal pizza bar to an extended kids' club -- plenty for the modern family to enjoy. Works included technical and hotel maintenance, general upgrades of public areas (all bars and restaurants) and passenger cabins (beds, bathrooms, lighting, woodwork, decoration). All staterooms and venues received new carpeting and furniture. Some outdoor deck spaces were redesigned to allow alfresco dining. Standard staterooms have ample storage, a vanity desk, TV, safe, hair dryer, tea/coffeemaker, and refrigerator.
P&O Azura Cruise Ship Overview
Azura has no cover over its mid-ship swimming pool, unlike Ventura. Instead, Azura has a giant Sea Screen suspended at one end of the pool for movies. Inside, the two ships’ public areas are quite similar, with a more contemporary decor than their older fleetmates and some oddities, such as no chairs for reading in the library. P&O’s largest ships are also the best choices for families, with huge areas devoted to facilities for children and teens and a dedicated Wii room and a 20-meter plasma video wall.

Particularly popular among the three on-board specialty restaurants is the "Sindhu", which offers special Indian delicacies. The M / S Azura is one of the larger vessels of the cruise line and can accommodate up to 3100 passengers (with double occupancy). The 290 m long ship was last modernized in 2018, after the maiden voyage took place in 2010. A wide range of bars, restaurants, sports and spa facilities as well as various entertainment options will not leave boredom aboard. On board every cruise ship you'll enjoy the same P&O Cruises experience. Our fleet of ships epitomises the best of modern British cruising and offers an unrivaled holiday experience.
Staterooms
There are some venues on each ship where dress codes don’t apply, so make sure to check your Horizon paper that’s delivered to your cabin each day to check where these are, as they vary ship by ship. For those travelling on family-friendly ships, dress codes also don’t apply to children aged 12 and under. Three dining rooms serve open seating breakfast and lunch; dinner is either in two assigned seatings or open seating. There are also a coffee bar, poolside grill, a pizzeria, and an ice-cream bar.
Azura well-being focus: grab a dose of Vitamin Sea
Although they are nearly identical twins, each has some different facilities both inside and out; however, it’s the outside ones that are most noticeable and make a difference in the cruise experience. SeaScreen is one of the most exciting features on board Azura because it's more than just a pool – it's an open-air cinema as well! The giant screen sitting proudly above the beautifully designed pool area will show a variety of classic films, family favourites and the latest blockbusters. This much-loved British pub boasts the ship’s largest range of British and international bottled beers, ciders and real ale. By day, Brodie’s hosts quizzes and live sport, by night you’ll find live entertainment, karaoke and game shows. The exotic vibe of Malabar is inspired by the contemporary hotels on Marine Drive, Mumbai.
Accommodations, from inside cabins to lavish suites, cater to a wide cross section of budgets and tastes. In the interest of passenger health and safety, smoking has been prohibited indoors, including in all cabins and suites and on private balconies. Seven ships in the P&O fleet offer a diverse range of venues for relaxation and entertainment, including cocktail bars, nightclubs, cinemas, games rooms, and cabaret lounges. Enjoy live bands, dramatic musicals, and deck parties, cabaret singers, comedians, specialty acts, classical recitals, and concerts. Theme evenings include tropical, 1960s and ’70s, or Black and White Ball.
Other P&O Cruises cabins
The vessel offers a huge selection of balcony staterooms (almost 900 of them, divided into 10 different categories). All meals in the main and buffet restaurants, snacks, cabin service and afternoon tea are already included on board, as well as coffee, tea, water and juices in the buffet restaurants. Various chefs have created interesting and varied dishes for the fleet of the cruise line. The daily changing menus in the main restaurant are inspired by British cuisine.
Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation

Cabins have mineral water and a packet of toiletry essentials on arrival, and Superior Deluxe Balcony cabins also receive a fruit bowl, flowers, champagne and chocolates, as well as canapés once a week. Standard inside cabins have a shower only; all others have a bathtub. The accommodation does not feel as fresh as the decor that runs through the ship's public spaces. The rooms are a melange of brown, beige and light wood trimming.
One of the things Azure can be proud of will be her 18 single staterooms, a first for a P&O ship. In fact, it will be the first ship in the 21st century to feature that many single staterooms. Guests can also stay on a pair of larger suites, also a new feature of P&O cabin choices.
With nine different restaurants, there’s a world of flavours to explore aboard Azura including Freedom and Club dining options. And when you’re in the mood for something more casual, you can choose from two buffet restaurants and the poolside grill. On the Azura, Brodie’s Pub and the Planet Bar with its plasma video wall are popular watering holes; the three-deck atrium, which has a dance floor, offers dancing into the wee hours.
Private, child-free cabanas, fitness facilities, and an exciting menu of over 100 beautifying treatments are designed for maximum relaxation. Azura can buy a pass to the spa facilities and upgraded amenities. Suite guests receive mineral water, fruit basket, flowers, champagne, and chocolates on arrival; canapés are delivered daily.
